BIBLE, COMFORTER, CHRISTIAN SCIENCE

Christian Science:

Our gospel came not unto you in word only, but also in power, and in the Holy Ghost, and in much assurance (I Thessalonians 1).

covenant--Seek the Lord, and his strength:  seek his face evermore. . . .  He hath remembered his covenant for ever, the word which he commanded to a thousand generations (Psalms 105).

still small voice--What doest thou here Elijah? . . .  I have reserved to myself seven thousand men, who have not bowed the knee to the image of Baal (I Kings 19; Romans 11).

Comforter--And I will pray the Father, and he will give you another Comforter, that he may abide with you forever; Even the Spirit of truth (John 14).

Science and Health--This book may be distorted by shallow criticism or by careless or malicious students, . . . but the Science and truth therein will forever remain to be discerned and demonstrated (Eddy, 1906, p. 110).

deeds--The words of divine Science find their immortality in deeds, for their Principle heals the sick and spiritualizes humanity (Eddy, 1906, p. 354).

promise--The promise is unto you, and to your children, and to all that are afar off, even as many as the Lord our God shall call (Acts 2).

Is the Universe, Including Man, Evolved by Atomic Force?

Stand still, and consider the wondrous works of God.  Dost thou know when God disposed them, and caused the light of his cloud to shine? (Job 36).

opposites--God, who made all that was made and could not create an atom or an element the opposite of Himself (Eddy, 1906, p. 583).

inquiry--Ask me of things to come concerning my sons, and concerning the work of my hands command ye me (Isaiah 45).

ideal--Have mercy upon me, O LORD; for I am weak:  O LORD, heal me; for my bones are vexed (Psalms 6).

affection--Lord, if thou wilt, thou canst make me clean.  And he put forth his hand, and touched him, saying, I will:  be thou clean.  And immediately the leprosy departed from him (Luke 5).

forces--The LORD is clothed with strength, wherewith he hath girded himself (Psalms 93).

alpha & omega--The immortal and perfect model of God's creation will finally be seen as the only true conception of being (Eddy, 1906, p. 260).

BIBLE, PRESERVATION, CHRISTIAN SCIENCE

God the Preserver of Man:

And Jacob awaked out of his sleep, and he said, Surely the Lord is in this place; and I knew it not (Genesis 28).

Father--How excellent is thy lovingkindness, O God! therefore the children of men put their trust under the shadow of they wings (Psalms 36).

Japheth--And the work of rightousness shall be peace; and the effect of righteousness quietness and assurance for ever (Isaiah 32).

Ishmael--And God heard the voice of the lad; . . . And God was with the lad (Genesis 21).

Son--Lo, I see four men loose, walking in the midst of the fire, and they have no hurt; and the form of the fourth is like the Son of God (Daniel 3).

Jesus--Now the God of hope fill you with all joy and peace in believing, that ye may abound in hope, through the power of the Holy Ghost (Romans 15).

Love--Thou wilt keep him in perfect peace, whose mind is stayed on thee (Isaiah 26).

BIBLE, CAUSATION, CHRISTIAN SCIENCE

God, the Only Cause and Creator:

Let the heavens be glad, and let the earth rejoice:  and let men say among the nations, The Lord reigneth (I Chronicles 16).

Mind--Mind, joyous in strength, dwells in the realm of Mind
(Eddy, 1906, p. 514).

one--Spiritually to understand that there is but one one creator, God, unfolds all creation (Eddy, 1906, p. 69).

expression--Let the beauty of the Lord our God be upon us:  and establish thou the work of our hands upon us; yea, the work of our hands establish thou it (Psalms 90).

manifestation--Truth is made manifest by its effects upon the human mind and body, healing sickness and destroying sin (Eddy, 1906, p. 316).

church--For unclean spirits, crying with loud voice, came out of many that were possessed with them:  and many taken with palsies, and that were lame, were healed.  And there was great joy in that city (Acts 8).

Jerusalem--Be ye glad and rejoice for ever in that which I create:  for, behold, I create Jerusalem a rejoicing, and her people a joy (Isaiah 65).
