BIBLE, NECROMANCY, CHRISTIAN SCIENCE

Ancient and Modern Necromancy, alias Mesmerism and Hypnotism, Denounced:

Be thou my strong habitation, whereunto I may continually resort: . . .  for thou art my rock and my fortress (Psalms 71).

builder--The God of heaven, he will prosper us; therefore we his servants will arise and build (Nehemiah 2).

sword--Every one with one of his hands wrought in the work, and with the other hand held a weapon (Nehemiah 4).

flint--The Lord GOD will help me; . . . therefore have I set my face like a flint, and I know that I shall not be ashamed (Isaiah 50).

Mind--Hath not God made foolish the wisdom of this world?

Christ--Ought not this woman, being a daughter of Abraham, whom Satan hath bound, lo, these eighteen years, be loosed from this bond on the sabbath day? (Luke 13).

Seth Rich

DEMOCRAT, MEDIA, MURDER, SCANDAL

You know that there's got to be something up with the killing of DNC staffer Seth Rich, or the Democrat media wouldn't be so freaked out about it. Democrats are intent on silencing and obstructing any investigation into the circumstances of Rich's death. They know more about it than they're letting on, and they want to ensure that you know as little about it as possible.

Bible Lesson 5/21/17

BIBLE, IDENTITY, CHRISTIAN SCIENCE

Soul and Body:

We are confident, I say, and willing rather to be absent from the body, and to be present with the Lord (II Corinthians 5).

Principle--Soul or Spirit signifies Deity and nothing else (Eddy, 1906, p. 466).

idea--Man is the expression of Soul (Eddy, 1906, p. 477).

meekness--Humble yourselves in the sight of the Lord, and he shall lift you up (James 4).

holiness--And be renewed in the spirit of your mind; And . . . put on the new man, which after God is created in righteousness and true holiness (Ephesians 4).

Science--Jesus patiently persisted in teaching and demonstrating the truth of being. . . .  Christ illustrates the coincidence, or spiritual agreement, between God and man in His image (Eddy, 1906, pp. 136, 302).

secret--Christians rejoice in secret beauty and bounty, hidden from the world, but known to God. . . .  Man is the reflection of Soul (Eddy, 1906, pp. 15, 249).

A Mighty Fortress

FORTRESS, PRAYER, LOVE, SUPPORT

I love President Trump. I support him wholeheartedly. I pray for him. I pray for his protection, good health, happiness, prosperity, and success. I don’t care what the Democrat media says. I don’t care about the Democrats and their media. They don’t define the world. They don’t define my experience and the quality of my life. I won’t let them do that to me. I won’t let the Democrats run or ruin my life. I am a very little man of minor significance and mediocre consequence. However, I know how to live. I know how to live my life. I know the difference between right and wrong. I know what’s right and I will adhere to the standard of goodness and truth to the best of my ability. I support you President Trump. I love you. I pray for you. I bless you with clear insight and spiritual sense. I embrace you in the peace and quiet of my prayer. I include you in my walk with Father-Mother God. I exclude wrong thoughts and evil intentions from my thought and experience, and I include you in the safe zone of spiritual consciousness and good deeds.

Fight the good fight of faith, lay hold on eternal life, whereunto thou art also called, and hast professed a good profession before many witnesses (I Timothy 6). The best support I can give to President Trump is to live my own life to the best of my ability, to do the best I can in my own life. It’s not much, but I offer it up in his behalf. I am happy to have my heart in the right place and to do good.

Fight the Good Fight

DEMOCRATS, FAKE NEWS, MEDIA, TRUMP

The epitome of evil in the world today is the Democrat fake news media. We used to think that the Russians or the Communists were the evil that we had to guard against. However, President Trump was correct in identifying the fake news media as the enemy of the people. The Democrat Party is the explicit political arm of the media and the Party is driven by the media's collective, global ideology. The media is the power behind the Democrat throne of political intrigue. I love Trump and give him my unqualified support. I don't know if he is strong enough to weather the storm of media outrage that the Democrats have unleashed against him.  But, whatever happens, we know who and what the source of tyranny and calamity is in the world today--and it isn't Donald Trump!

Bible Lesson 5/14/17

BIBLE, IMMORTALITY, CHRISTIAN SCIENCE

Mortals and Immortals:

See that ye love one another with a pure heart fervently (I Peter 1).

evidence--The evidence of man's immortality will become more apparent, as material beliefs are given up and the immortal facts of being are admitted (Eddy, 1906, p. 428).

selfhood--Man's genuine selfhood is recognizable only in what is good and true (Eddy, 1906, p. 294).

turn--Let us search and try our ways, and turn again to the LORD (Lamentations 3).

grace--If now I have found grace in thy sight, then receive my present at my hand:  for therefore I have seen thy face, as though I had seen the face of God, and thou wast pleased with me (Genesis 33).

touch--And a certain woman . . . came in the press behind, and touched his garment.  For she said, If I may touch but his clothes, I shall be whole.  And straightway the fountain of her blood was dried up; and she felt in her body that she was healed of that plague (Mark 5).

victory--Death is swallowed up in victory (I Corinthians 15).

Bible Lesson 5/7/17

BIBLE, ADAM, CHRISTIAN SCIENCE

Adam and Fallen Man:

Mark the perfect man, and behold the upright:  for the end of that man is peace (Psalms 37).

man--Man is the family name for all ideas,—the sons and daughters of God (Eddy, 1906, p. 515).

Eden--Of every tree of the garden thou mayest freely eat:  But of the tree of the knowledge of good and evil, thou shalt not eat of it (Genesis 2).

curse--And unto Adam he said, . . . cursed is the ground for thy sake; in sorrow shalt thou eat of it all the days of thy life (Genesis 3).

sight--Since the world began was it not heard that any man opened the eyes of one that was born blind (John 9).

life--As in Adam all die, even so in Christ shall all be made alive (I Corinthians 15).

reflection--Lift up thine eyes round about, and see (Isaiah 60).  If man is the image, reflection, of God, he is neither inverted nor subverted, but upright and Godlike (Eddy, 1906, p. 200).

Rumination #2

LOVINGKINDNESS, SEX, SPIRIT

Greater love hath no man than this, that a man lay down his life for his friends (John 15). What greater love is there than to give up one’s own life for another person? Relative. Friend. Stranger. Human being. Innocent beast. Mighty tree. It is a spiritual gift to be willing to give up one’s own life to benefit or bless another than one’s self. I am very small. Tiny. Insignificant. Mediocre. I don’t matter much. I live. I love. I am drawn to others in the world. I am drawn to Spirit. Spiritual ideas. Consciousness. Pure thought. Purity. Love. Hope. Health. Art. Writing. I have struggled all my life, and I don’t even know what I’m struggling for. What is it that I want? What am I looking for? What do I expect out of life? Happiness. Health. Success. Love. Sex. Romance. Involvement. Comradeship. Time’s a wastin, my friend. It won’t be too long and my sojourn here will be done. I don’t know how it will end, or when, but it isn’t too far off. Why have I had to struggle so much? Is it my fault? Is it something that I did? Something I did wrong? Is it the way I look? Is it because of what I am? What did I do to deserve this? What did I neglect to do that I should have done? O Lord. Fear not, ye have done all this wickedness, yet turn not aside from following the LORD, and serve the LORD with all your heart (I Samuel 12). Spiritual sense, the spiritual life, is a deeply personal thing. It is possible to have a deep spiritual commitment that doesn’t impress others. Worldly ambition and desire is antithetical to the spiritual life. Love God and worship Him unselfishly. Selfless worship is the essence of spiritual sense. I don’t have a lot of time left, and there’s no reason to think that the remainder will be any better than the past. Life isn’t about my personal pleasure and happiness. It is tempting to think that it is, but it’s not. What is it about? Doing the right thing when it needs to be done. Being a good friend. Being a good son. Doing my duty. Acts of kindness. Acts of love. Lovingkindness. Yea, I have loved thee with an everlasting love: therefore with lovingkindness have I drawn thee (Jeremiah 31). Being there. Being present. Blessing. Blessedness. Making someone else’s life better.

I like sex. I like men. I like women too. I don’t always have enough time and energy for sex, and there are more important things to think about and do. There are more important things for me to do with my time and energy than to pursue sex. Sometimes, I think I should just give it up altogether and live the celibate life. Celibacy would be more peaceful and dignified than the foam and fury of illegitimate living (Eddy, 1906, p. 203). We roar all like bears, and mourn sore like doves: For our transgressions multiply before thee, and our sins testify against us (Isaiah 59).

I used to think that my devotion to divine Love would attract like-minded people. I used to think that my spirituality would place me among Spirit-filled men and women. I used to think that I had a spiritual vocation. I do have a calling to love and worship Father-Mother God. But, who cares? Why should anyone care? I don’t do it for them. I do it because Father-Mother called me to do it. I don’t do it to win over the world. What power do I have to win a world? I am powerless, as the world keeps reminding me. Have mercy upon me, O LORD, for I am weak (Psalms 6). My love for you is not a vocation. It’s just love. I don’t want anything from you. I don’t expect to be rewarded for loving you, other than the pure joy of doing it. Peace. Contentment. Forgiveness. Meekness. Reformation. I used to think that the world would be drawn to my spirituality and reward me for it. I have learned that the world doesn’t care about my spirituality. The world doesn’t particularly care about me. I don’t necessarily want to live for the world. I live in the world, and there are things that it requires of me while I’m here. But, I don’t want to live for the world. I want to live for Father-Mother. I want to live for spiritual sense. Vision. Love. Light. Enlightenment. I will give my life in the world for the ones I love. I will not grasp at my own desires and priorities to the exclusion of the ones I love. I used to think that the world would reward me for my spirituality. What made me think that? It’s not that I wanted the world to reward me; I just thought that it would. I thought it only natural that Love would elicit its likeness. I was wrong. Maybe I thought too highly of myself and what I have been doing all these years. Maybe I am wrong about me and the world. Better the frugal intellectual repast with contentment and virtue, than the luxury of learning with egotism and vice (Eddy, 1906, p. 452). I never did get it. I never understood what the world was up to. I kind of understood what I was up to, and expected a sympathetic response. Silly me. I got more like a sexual than a sympathetic response. The world never could get over me and sex. I don’t get it. I don’t understand it, but I know that it's true. The world harps on my sexuality. How should I respond? How should I have responded? I never was successful at elevating the world’s response to me. I tried and have been faithful to the effort for a long time. I thought I had more to offer. I thought that my perspective was practical and healthy. I had vision and insight. I saw the way things work. I knew how to communicate. I was not afraid. I was calm and happy. I thought I was a good person to have around. I thought I was a worthwhile contributor to endeavor. I thought I was cooperative and practical. I thought I served both God and man at work. But, maybe it didn’t matter that much. Or, maybe it mattered more than I thought. God loveth a cheerful giver (II Corinthians 9).
