Christ Jesus:

Blessed be the God and Father of our Lord Jesus Christ, . . . Having made known unto us the mystery of his will, according to his good pleasure which he purposed in himself (Ephesians 1).

Abba--God hath sent forth the Spirit of his Son into your hearts, crying, Abba, Father (Galations 4).

John the Baptist--Go and shew John again those things which ye do hear and see: . . .  And blessed is he, whosoever shall not be offended in me (Matthew 11).

woman of Samaria--I know that Messias cometh, which is called Christ:  when he is come, he will tell us all things. . . .  I that speak unto thee am he (John 4).

centurion--What doth the LORD require of thee, but to do justly, and to love mercy, and to walk humbly with thy God? (Micah 6).

Peter--God anointed Jesus of Nazareth with the Holy Ghost and with power:  who went about doing good, and healing all that were oppressed of the devil; for God was with him (Acts 10).

Son--Beloved, now are we the sons of God, and it doth not yet appear what we shall be:  but we know that, when he shall appear, we shall be like him; for we shall see him as he is (1 John 3).

BIBLE, MIND, CHRISTIAN SCIENCE

Mind:

Ponder the path of thy feet, and let all thy ways be established (Proverbs 4).

metaphysics--Divine metaphysics, as revealed to spiritual understanding, shows clearly that all is Mind. . . .  The spiritual man's consciousness and individuality are reflections of God (Eddy, 1906, pp. 275, 336).

action--And the Lord said unto Moses, Wherefore criest thou unto me? speak unto the children of Israel, that they go forward (Exodus 14).

insight--And Samuel answered Saul, and said, I am the seer: . . .  and will tell thee all that is in thine heart (I Samuel 9).

healing--The only way to this living Truth, which heals the sick, is found in the Science of divine Mind as taught and demonstrated by Christ Jesus (Eddy, 1906, p. 180).

despotism--The despotic tendencies, inherent in mortal mind and always germinating in new forms of tyranny, must be rooted out through the action of the divine Mind (Eddy, 1906, p. 225).

guidance--The Christian Scientist wisely shapes his course, and is honest and consistent in following the leadings of divine Mind (Eddy, 1906, p. 458).

Soul:

The trees of the Lord are full of sap; the cedars of Lebanon, which he hath planted (Psalms 104).

desire--I love them that love me; and those that seek me early shall find me (Proverbs 8).

equality--Fear not; go and do as thou hast said:  but make me thereof a little cake first, and bring it unto me, and after make for thee and for thy son (I Kings 17).

supply--Thou shalt find a piece of money:  that take, and give unto them for me and thee (Matthew 17).

help--The desert shall rejoice, and blossom as the rose (Isaiah 35).

Science of Soul--O God, thou art my God; early will I seek thee: . . .  To see thy power and thy glory, so as I have seen thee in the sanctuary (Psalms 63).

Patriots Win!

PATRIOTS, SUPER BOWL LI, BRADY, TRUMP

The Patriots won Super Bowl LI, and my heart feels like an alligator. You've got to love Tom Brady and the Patriots, just like you've got to love Donald Trump and the common American man. Come from behind, fuck the prognosticators, get the job done. Has the Democrat media ever been proved mendacious and wrong more often or more decisively than it has in the last year? In the second quarter, Buck and Aikman intoned that no team had ever returned from a 14 point deficit to win in Super Bowl history. Well, I guess there's no point watching the rest of the game, right? Thanks to the Patriots for putting egg on their sorry ass faces. I only regret that I didn't stick around to watch them do it. Between B&A gushing about "this young team" (Falcons), the PC "We are the world" ads, and Lady Gaga, I couldn't force myself to stay for the second half. But, it sure feels good reading about it right now.

Bible Lesson 2/5/17

BIBLE, SPIRIT, CHRISTIAN SCIENCE

Spirit:

Our sufficiency is of God (II Corinthians 3).

God--Now we have received, not the spirit of the world, but the spirit which is of God (I Corinthians 2).

evidence--Elijah went up by a whirlwind into heaven.  And Elisha saw it, and he cried, My father, my father, the chariot of Israel, and the horsemen thereof (II Kings 3).

goodness--The Lord thy God bringeth thee into a good land (Deuteronomy 8).  Thus saith the Lord, I have healed these waters (II Kings 2).

righteousness--And he cast out the spirits with his word, and healed all that were sick (Matthew 8).

parent--Christ presents the indestructible man, whom Spirit creates, constitutes, and governs (Eddy, 1906, p. 316).

Holy Ghost--And suddenly there came a sound from heaven as of a rushing mighty wind, and it filled all the house where they were sitting. . . .  And they were all filled with the Holy Ghost (Acts 2).

child--The Spirit itself beareth witness with our spirits, that we are all the children of God (Romans 8).

Not Your Father's Donkey

ACTING OUT, HITTING BACK, CHECKMATE, CHESS

Democrats suck. Lying sacks of shit. Who cares what Democrats have to say about anything? Nothing they say means anything to any sane person. They are the party of the clinically insane. Poseurs. Wolves in sheeps' clothing. Liars, cheats, and scoundrels. All they care about is getting and keeping political power. As time goes on, they have shown a determination to rule our shared culture at any cost, without having to share anything at all.  We common folk are expected to be silent, keep our opinions to ourselves, and acquiesce to all their crazy schemes. Why? Because they say so, and they are better than we are. Just ask them. We don't need democracy.  We don't need laws. We don't need elections. We don't need civility. We don't need free speech. We don't need freedom. All we need is the Democrats telling us what to do, because they are better than we are.

Now, having suffered a major political defeat, Democrats are threatening violence. They are physically attacking their opponents and disrupting normal government. They can't win, but they intend to make things as difficult and unpleasant for their opponents as possible. Why? Because they have lost their grip and can't get their way. Democrats are shocked that the power to rule over our culture and country has been taken away from them. After all, it is their country--just ask Ashton Kutcher. It is the ultimate entitlement: Democrats believe that they were born to rule, like royalty. Theirs is the divine right of kings, the antithesis of American democracy.

The 63,000,000 of us who voted for Trump simply don't count. Somehow, Hillary's wobbly 2,800,000 popular vote advantage takes precedence over Trump's 63,000,000 votes. In the Democrat mind, 2 percent is greater than 49 percent in what ends up being a specious calculation. It doesn't matter how many more pieces Hillary captures in a game of chess with Trump, if he checkmates her king. Trump wins. That's how the game is played. Any way you look at it, Hillary lost the election. Tough shit.

How should common men, like I, respond to threats of violence and violent acts by Democrats? I am a peaceful man, and I have confidence in the efficacy of spiritual solutions to human problems. I'm not a martial arts expert and I don't own a gun or know how to use one. However, if anyone were to attack me, I would do my best to kill or disable him before he could kill or hurt me. Democrats should not assume that their aggression is protected. For they have sown the wind, and they shall reap the whirlwind (Hosea 8).

Arms of Another Man

IDEA, PROCESS, HOMOSEXUALS, SOCIETY

The way it's supposed to be.

My poor, little life! What a mess. What a disappointment. I am what I have turned out to be. I turned out to be what I have been all along. You know that God does not intend for us to be anything other than His spiritual idea, yes? God’s vision for each and every one of us is that we are His divine ideas. That’s what makes us special. It isn’t some unique invention of our own design that makes us significant. It isn’t being in the world that makes us special. How many billions of us are there in the world? Approximately seven billion. Are all seven billion of us special? Yes. Are we all unique? Yes. But, in the world, by its own standards, some few men and women are thought of as being more important and worthy of regard than the rest. That’s the way of the world, and it doesn’t matter how hard I try to change it, the world wins. Most of us have to learn how to be content with mediocrity and anonymity in life. Most of us have to learn how to lead little people lives. The great unwashed masses. Homosexuals are not the masses, but I don’t doubt that there are a lot of us in the ranks. We are a kind of creeping presence in culture and society. We never go away. While there’s life, there will be men having sex together. Men will always form intimate, sexual relationships with other men. We will always find ways to love each other.

Spirituality, writing, commerce, sex. I pretty much know what my priorities are, but I don’t always know which one is greater than the other. Experience teaches one what must come first, and how to live one’s life to best advantage. Learning how to live is a long and difficult process, which only ends with death. Life’s essential character is the learning process, even for homosexuals. I don’t spend all of my time thinking about and having sex in one form or another. Life demands that I spend time doing other things. Damn! Wouldn’t it be fun to have sex all the time? Wouldn’t it be lovely to live all of life in the arms of another man?
