Bible Lesson 11/12/17

BIBLE, IMMORTALS, CHRISTIAN SCIENCE


Mortals and Immortals:

And the world passeth away, and the lust thereof:  but he that doeth the will of God abideth for ever (I John 2).

man--Mortals will disappear, and immortals, or the children of God, will appear as the only and eternal verities of man (Eddy, 1906, p. 476).

physical--Waking to Christ's demand, mortals experience suffering (Eddy, 1906, p. 22).

moral--Hear thou, my son, and be wise, and guide thine heart in the way (Proverbs 23).

progress--For thus saith the Lord God, the Holy One of Israel; In returning and rest shall ye be saved (Isaiah 30).

spiritual--When he was yet a great way off, his father saw him, and had compassion, and ran, and fell on his neck, and kissed him (Luke 15).

God--Now unto the King eternal, immortal, invisible, the only wise God, be honour and glory for ever and ever.  Amen (I Timothy 1).
