BIBLE, PROGRESS, CHRISTIAN SCIENCE
Probation After Death:
For as the Father raiseth up the dead, and quickeneth them; even so the Son quickeneth whom he will (John 5).
wisdom--The law of the wise is a fountain of life, to depart from the snares of death (Proverbs 13).
Elijah--Correct material belief by spiritual understanding, and Spirit will form you anew (Eddy, 1906, p. 425).
Elisha--Progress is born of experience. It is the ripening of mortal man, through which the mortal is dropped for the immortal (Eddy, 1906, p. 296).
Jesus--He showed himself alive after his passion by many infallible proofs (Acts 1).
Paul--Howbeit, as the disciples stood round about him, he rose up, and came into the city (Acts 14).
change--I will walk before the Lord in the land of the living (Psalms 116). As St. Paul says: "There remaineth therefore a rest to the people of God" (of Spirit) (Eddy, 1906, p. 288).
