BIBLE, MORTALITY, CHRISTIAN SCIENCE
Are Sin, Disease, and Death Real?
Be not afraid of their faces (Jeremiah 1).
standard--When the enemy shall come in like a flood, the spirit of the Lord shall lift up a standard against him (Isaiah 59).
sin--O man greatly beloved, fear not: peace be unto thee, be strong, yea, be strong (Daniel 10).
harvest--Science separates the wheat from the tares, through the realization of God as ever present and of man as reflecting the divine likeness (Eddy, 1906, p. 300).
sickness--Daughter, thy faith hath made thee whole; go in peace, and be whole of thy plague (Mark 5). Always begin your treatment by allaying the fear of patients (Eddy, 1906, p. 411).
death--And when the Lord saw her, he had compassion on her, and said unto her, Weep not. . . . And he said, Young man, I say unto thee, Arise. And he that was dead sat up, and began to speak. And he delivered him to his mother (Luke 7).
face--The Lord lift up his countenance upon thee, and give thee peace (Numbers 6).
